Medical Cost Consulting Services
Medical Cost Projection
A medical cost projection is a shorter, abbreviated estimate of the cost of medical care. Lower costs and quicker turnaround times make this helpful in preparing for mediation, settlement negotiations, set-asides, or limited insurance coverage.
Life Care Plan
Our life care plans are a comprehensive estimate of an individual’s medical and non-medical needs throughout their lifetime related to a catastrophic injury or chronic illness. Life care plans are recommended in major commercial cases.
The Differences Between Medical Cost Projections and Life Care Plans: Which Do You Need?
One big part of our job as medical cost consultants is recommending which type of medical cost assessment you may need. Each personal injury case is unique, and you will need a future care report that fits the specific needs of that case. For most personal injury cases, we recommend a Medical Cost Projection to calculate future medical costs. Medical Cost Projections are less costly than Life Care Plans, and they can be developed into Life Care Plans later on if needed. Life Care Plans are usually only recommended for large commercial disputes and cases.
No matter which type of report you need, we can create a comprehensive assessment that strengthens your case and improves the outcome. If we determine that we aren’t the right team for your report, we can recommend an alternative Life Care Planner through our referral process.

Can a Medical Cost Projection or Life Care Plan Support Your Case?
If you’re handling a personal injury case that involves medical damages, a Life Care Plan or Medical Cost Projection report can help ensure the successful completion of your case. We will review medical records, speak with doctors and nurses, and do thorough research to ensure our reports are accurate and comprehensive. We can project the cost of your client’s future medical needs related to their injury so that you can make an optimal claim for compensation. A Medical Cost Projection report can support a demand package, negotiations, justifying settlement requests, and setting appropriate claims reserves.
